Rick Eilers, founder of Prepared NW, is passionate about helping friends, family and neighbors prepare themselves for natural and man-made emergencies.
Education and experience allow us to excel and grow throughout our lives and preparedness is no exception. Rick has a degree in Agri-business, is a Residential General Contractor, an eight-year volunteer firefighter/engineer/EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) for Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue, a machinist for 18 years. He has also owned and operated a chestnut farm and built his own 1,800 square foot two story home. He’s a true handyman with lots of practical, real world experience. Rick is a former Chair of Lake Oswego, Oregon’s Palisades Neighborhood Association, current chair of the Palisades Neighborhood Prep Palisades Committee, Chair of Prep LO (a city-wide neighborhood EP committee) and a member of LONAC (Lake Oswego Neighborhood Action Coalition).
Having a plan and preparing in advance can turn an unbearable situation into a comfortable inconvenience. Being prepared is being responsible.
